Small beads are very dangerous for under 2 year old kids, but these paper roll beads are not. If you want to prepare a fine motor activity for your 2 years old, this is great idea then. It is not only stringing but also sorting activity. Just cut the paper rolls into 3 pieces and use washi tapes to diversify them.
Only takes 5 minutes to prepare these cute glasses. Kids are very curious about the new things they see around. If one day you kid sees someone who wear glasses and asks about it, you can prepare a quick one to help him/her empathize with that person. By this was you give her the chance to decorate his/her own glasses. They can also be used as a part of your special day costume.
Paper rolls are great for creating very cute small houses. You can dream and design your own lovely cottages. Especially on dark winter days this small world will make you have fun.
There are a million ways of creating a color sorting/matching play. My son started to enjoy color sorting activities when he was 2 years old. A few months later we added patterns to the colors. Even though he cannot say the names of colors properly, at least sorting and matching is too much fun for him. I want to add also that rubber bands are great for helping to develop hand muscles. This activity is great for fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination too.
It is super simple to prepare DIY shakers and too much fun to dance with. Toilet paper rolls work great for these DIY shakers. You can use either washi tape or coloring pens for decorating them. You can fill them with rice, buttons, pasta, bells. etc. You can diversify the filling to get more different sounds. Highly recommended.
