Just grab some buttons, beads and metal wire and create your own wall hanging. Actually they were hanging on our window all winter long, but the original idea was for making wall hangings. 🙂
A great embroidery practice for kids and good beginning for sewing. Pre-holes make it even easier for smaller kids. I can say that this is great exercise for 6+. For smaller kids you can use plastic needle and make it even much easier with pre-holes.
It is possible to prepare many cutting exercises only using an A4 paper. You can draw funny faces, shapes, flowers etc. This time try adding theme on it. you can use even newspaper, if you don’t have colored papers at home. Following the lines while cutting develops hand-eye coordination, as well.
Have ever tried to make art with watercolor and salt? It is so satisfying to watch how salt helps to spread colors quickly. It is great to be able to see salt as crystals on paper. Squeeze glue on the paper as you want and sprinkle the salt on the glue and then shake the paper. Now you can add watercolor on the salt to get amazing shapes and colors.
The best place to play is nature and the best resources are in the nature. We prepared a color board just before having a walk in the forest. It was an amazing spring welcoming play for us.
