Have ever tried to use kitchen utensils for creating activities? If not yet, you can start with a whisk for your baby/new toddler. You can tie pipe cleaners simply on a whisk and ask your kid to rescue them. It is great for developing many skills. It can help your baby to be able stay in sitting position longer time. Great for crawling times, too. You can put it a little bit far and ask your baby to catch it.
You can use any material for line tracing activity. Just draw lines on a cardboard and trace them with stones, sea shells, etc. This time we chose summer theme.
It helps to develop tiny hand muscles and imagination. You can build your own building. All you need is an empty box and some straws. That’s all. 🏦🏨🏡🏢🏠Cut the straws to the size you want, make small cuts in the middle, then insert the cardboards in the straws. It would be better if you use thin cardboard.
While making this scissors activity, you can learn about colors, talk about emotions and facial expressions.
This is very simple cutting exercise to foster fine motor skills and great for developing tiny hand muscles.
Handmade gifts are very special, aren’t they? The best part I love is fostering creativity while crafting with the kids. They choose the colors, patterns for their own crafts. I should admit that I also enjoy crafting a lot, especially when the final product becomes a beautiful decoration in our home.
Sometimes things happen spontaneously like this heart. We suddenly found ourselves making a heart from nature. Nature gives us the best resources for crafting and making creative crafts. I am sure that when someone saw this heart located in the middle of playground, had a big smile on his/her face.
We colored paper plate and added pipe cleaners edge of it in order to copy the shapes drawn on the paper plate. It has been both color and shape matching and of course great fine motor activity at the same time.
Let’s strengthen our hand muscles with rubber bands. Sometimes kitchen is the best play to discover new items for setups.
